Как сообщает 28 июля пресс-служба Народного Совета ДНР, Председатель Народного Совета ДНР Андрей Пургин поздравил всех православных христиан с Днем крещения Руси и отметил важность этого дня для славянских народов. Сегодня русская Православная Церковь чтит память святого равноапостольного великого князя Владимира. В этом году исполняется 1000 лет со дня его преставления. С именем святого неразрывно связано важнейшее духовное, культурное событие в истории Русского мира – крещение Руси, которое ознаменовало конец языческой и начало христианской истории. С 2010 года в России эта дата стала государственным праздником – Днем крещения Руси.

«День памяти святого князя Владимира, который зафиксировал то, к чему Русь шла долгое время, – это переход к греческому христианству, именуемому Православием. Князь Владимир сделал ответственный шаг к тому, чтобы христианство стало государственной религией. На тот момент это было знаковым решением. Таким образом, Владимир вошел в историю как человек, который ввел на подвластных ему землях православное христианство и фактически создал Русь, объединив народ в полноценное государство», – отметил Андрей Пургин.

Также он подчеркнул значимость памятной даты для нашей Республики  как неотъемлемой части Русского мира.

«День памяти святого равноапостольного князя Владимира, конечно, почитаем у нас как день памяти о человеке, который заложил основы русской государственности  через принципы православной веры», – уточнил Андрей Пургин.

Председатель Народного Совета ДНР отметил, что эта памятная дата будет закреплена на законодательном уровне и официально признана государственным праздником на территории Донецкой Народной Республики.

Today the Russian Orthodox Church honors the memory of Equal to the Apostles Saint Prince Vladimir. This year marks 1000 years from the date of his death. With the name of the saint the most important spiritual and cultural event in the history of Russian world – the Christianization of Rus’ is inseparably connected, which marked the end of the pagan and early Christian history. Since 2010, this date has become a Russian national holiday – the Day of the Christianization of Rus’.

“Day of memory of the Saint prince Vladimir which recorded to what Russia went for long time, is a transition to the Greek Christianity called by Orthodoxy. Prince Vladimir took a responsible step to that the Christianity became the state religion. At that time it was the sign decision. Thus, Vladimir went down in history as the person who brought orthodox Christianity on lands subjected to him and actually created Russia, uniting the people into a full state”, – Andrey Purgin noted.

He also stressed the importance of the memorable date for our Republic as integral part of the Russian world.

“Day of memory of the equal to the apostles Saint prince Vladimir, of course, is esteemed at us as day of memory of the person which laid the foundation of the Russian statehood through the principles of orthodox belief”, – Andrey Purgin specified.

The chairman of People’s Council of DPR noted that this memorable date will be fixed at the legislative level and officially recognized as a public holiday in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
